# Regional Tax Report Workpapers for DamageBDD Node Operators

An optional browser-only tax workpaper utility for AU, US, NZ, India, Singapore, UAE and other regions; import your own CSV, choose a period and export reviewable CSV worksheets.

## Choose the country, dates and report pack

This optional workbench generates **local, preliminary accounting workpapers**
from CSV data that *you* supply. It does not connect to a node, exchange, wallet
or government filing service. It makes no legal tax classification and does not
calculate tax, gains, losses, GST, VAT or withholding liabilities.

The transaction file stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded by this page.
Always check imported dates, settlements, currency values and cost bases with
original evidence before relying on the results.

## Required source records

Use the **Download CSV input template** action above and replace the explicitly
labelled example row. The template preserves these record fields:

- `event_id`, `occurred_on` (YYYY-MM-DD **local** date), `activity`,
    `asset`, `quantity`, `reporting_currency`, `fiat_value`,
    `settlement_status` and `tx_reference`.
- Optional contextual fields: `node_id`, `acquired_on`, `cost_basis_fiat`,
    `fee_fiat`, `valuation_source`, `counterparty` and `notes`.
- Supported manual `activity` classifications include `service_income`,
    `verification_income`, `business_income`, `receipt`, `disposal`,
    `sale`, `exchange`, `swap`, `spend`, `expense`, `fee`,
    `network_fee`, `transfer`, `acquisition`, `holding` and `withholding`.

Use `receipt` for a receipt whose income classification has not been established;
it appears in the complete activity report and gets a classification-review flag
rather than being silently counted as taxable income. Financial values must be
supplied in the selected country's currency or the item is marked for review.
No foreign exchange conversions, valuation guesses or cost-basis calculations
are performed. Keep amounts as exact decimal strings, not rounded floats.

## Country-specific report packs

The first six countries are Australia (AUD), United States (USD), New Zealand
(NZD), India (INR), Singapore (SGD), and United Arab Emirates (AED). Additional
profiles cover the UK, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Canada, Portugal, Japan and
Germany. Every pack includes all activity, exceptional or incomplete entries,
and jurisdiction-labelled income/disposal workpapers where applicable.

Some labels refer to official schedules or broker information returns only as
reconciliation targets: an Indian Schedule VDA worksheet is **not an ITR**;
US Form 8949 and Form 1099-DA worksheets are **not regulator-approved forms**.
The UAE needs an explicitly entered business tax period. Singapore, Hong Kong
and some other business entities may use non-calendar accounting periods, so
business operators must verify and, where prompted, enter their actual dates.

## Before preparing your tax return

The exception report flags missing valuations, unsupported local dates,
possibly duplicate records, unmatched reporting currencies, uncertain
classifications, unsettled entries and missing disposal cost-basis evidence.
Fix those issues at the source and generate a fresh export. The tool does not
compute amounts due, determine residence, or validate all law-specific rules.

This standalone workbench does **not** establish that the installed DamageBDD
node dashboard has a tax endpoint or that the node can already produce the
canonical CSV. Integrating live transaction adapters and a signed export
service requires an additional reviewed application change.
